OBITUARY: RICHARD EDMONDS

It has been a sad year indeed for nationalists, especially those of us in Britain, with the loss of three men of the arts in Christopher Tolkien, Jean Raspail and Charles Krafft, and British politician and activist Eddy Morrison, and now we have also lost Eddy's comrade in the National Front and British National Party Richard Edmonds. I did not know Richard personally and only met him on two occasions where I shared a stage with him, but opinions of him are universal in their praise of a dedicated, selfless and generous man. I was speaking to NF treasurer Nick Walsh a few days ago, who said that, were nationalists in governance, Richard would have probably dedicated his life to charitable causes. 

 

 

Richard's involvement with the NF goes all the way back to 1972 and he stood as candidate in many elections, as well as for the British National Party. An intelligent and articulate man, he began life as a comprehensive school teacher, urging black pupils to do well at school and return to their native lands to improve the lot of their own peoples. Richard's primary concern, though, was for his own people, and he often cited the demographic replacement he witnessed first hand growing up in London as a motivating factor. Less than a quarter of the population of his native district of Hounslow is now White British. As Richard himself often said, this is nothing short of ethnic cleansing. A close friend of the late John Tyndall, he founded the British National Party with him, and always spoke at the John Tyndall Memorial Meeting. Here he is in his own words:

 

Richard always paid tribute to our fallen soldiers, laying the NF wreath at the Cenotaph, while respecting the fallen of other countries. He campaigned for Germans to have the freedom to investigate their own history without fear of imprisonment, and, in more recent years, supported Ursula Haverbeck, who has been imprisoned for the "crime" of questioning parts of the official historical narrative mandated by the German state. The Left always try to portray the "Far Right", to use a media term, as uncultured parochial types who need to get out and travel the world a bit. Richard Edmonds proved the fallacy of this myth, as he was well-educated, cultured and spent several years in Russia and America, as well as having travelled all around Europe. Rest in peace, Richard, for you have earned it.
