MJOLNIR AT THE MOVIES EPISODE 19: ROLLERBALLS!

There are two Rollerballs: one that didn't descend and the other that was a testosterone-fuelled wrecking ball. As usual, the original 1970s version is the one that works, and so the one we concentrate on after getting the 2002 version out of the way in the first of this double bill of videos. We look at the major themes like collectivism versus the individual, corporate society, violence, sport as religion and the role of culture, and ask the question, can the 1975 version be classed as a Rightist film despite its Chewish star?

THE DESTRUCTION OF NOTRE DAME

While I am not a Christian, I appreciate church and cathedral art and architecture more than most, for I remember that while the religion is a foreign import that has been instrumental in crushing the soul of European Man, the aesthetics are indigenous to Europe and will be instrumental in its restoration. Unlike some Pagans I could mention, who in any case seem to love an even less European religion in Hindooism, I therefore have mixed feelings about the fire that has brought down the spire and roof of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. There are of course suspicions about whether the fire was started deliberately, and inevitably, we on the Right look towards those who have sought to invade and conquer Europe, whom our corrupt politicians and businessmen have now invited in willingly. Whether the incendiary is yet another Islamic atrocity is yet to be seen, and even if it is, it will probably be covered up by our equally corrupt journalists, who have become cowardly and perverse apologists for Muslim terrorists. After all, several French churches have 'accidentally' burned down in the past year, according to the press. What is clear though is that Muslims certainly see the destruction of Notre Dame as a source of amusement and joy:

JOHN WAYNE, KIRK DOUGLAS AND DICK CAVETT: THE MUD, THE BAD AND THE SMUGLY

Television and the media in general interpret the world for the masses. The problems are not just with who gets to do the interpreting and with the dishonesty of the interpretation, but also with the dishonest personae of the people most viewers - even sceptical ones with regard to interpretation - buy into as genuine. To give you an example of what I mean, I'll give a little commentary on the clip below from the Dick Cavett Show. As you will see later, it is very relevant to contemorary events. In a mirror of contemporary life, John Wayne is absent from the studio, just as he is now long deceased in real life, while Cavett and Kirk Douglas live on, Douglas currently at the ripe old age of 102. Douglas and Wayne both had their names changed in order to play the heroic masculine characters with whom they became synonymous, Wayne, born Marion Morrison, probably because his name was too effeminate (although he himself had no part in the decision), and Douglas, born Issur Demsky, because it was too foreign.

INTERVIEW WITH NEIL WESTWOOD ON HIS SENSATIONAL NEW MUSIC PROJECT

James from Mjolnir at the Movies (a.k.a. Bevel E on Youtube) gives an illuminating and insightful interview with Neil Westwood also from Mjolnir at the Movies about his sensational new synthwave music project in this three-part podcast on his Youtube channel, to which you ought to subscribe, as there is other good stuff on there too. In the first part, Neil talks about the conception of ideas and the importance of the environment, particularly Nature and the knowledge of localalised tradition for inspiration. He emphasises the importance of hard work and practice in honing one's talent and references his musical influences, as well as discussing why music is important in raising morale on the Right.

MJOLNIR AT THE MOVIES EPISODE 18: (((NETWORK)))

In the comments section of the Mjolnir at the Movies channel (please subscribe!), we had a request to look at Sidney Lumet and Paddy Chayefsky's 1976 film Network, a Chewish satire on the TV stations they own, but pretend they don't..... And so here is the podcast, which examines the politics of television and the New World Order created not just via internationalist socialism, but especially via liberal capitalism.
