The power of comedy is well-known. Such is its power that the Left keep a beady eye fixed on dissent from their politically correct line. Triggering is the reaction the megalomanical Left has whenever it perceives a potential loss of power. This is why politically incorrect jokes trigger Leftists. Bernard Manning was and Chubby Brown has been pilloried for years because of their refusal to toe the PC line. Jim Davidson has made the mistake of apologising for his previously "racist", "homophobic" and "sexist" act. It has not stopped the Left from hounding him and it has not got him back on television, apart from sporadic appearances on reality TV shows. All the mainstream television channels are now rigorously policed in case a rogue straight white male comedian should step out of line and offend a protected minority group. One way of policing TV comedy is to simply bar straight white males from the airwaves, which the BBC in particular is currently in the process of achieving.
Meanwhile, the likes of Omid Djalili have had plenty of spots on the BBC, because a White Man telling jokes about Blacks and Asians on the BBC is racist, but Asians and Blacks telling jokes about Whites
is not, apparently, which, in itself, is testament to the BBC’s openly racist policy towards Whites. Djalili did manage to get himself in a bit of bother earlier this year, however, when his anti-White rhetoric took in the Welsh language. It would appear the Celts still enjoy a certain amount of privilege over their Anglo-Saxon cousins - even though such divisions tend to be political, linguistic, conceptual and pseudo-historical than anything really meaningful - although it may well also be to do with the BBC Radio head of comedy Sioned Wiliam being Welsh and finding opportunity to portray himself as part of an oppressed minority group.
Un-PC comedy has been all but erased from the airwaves, but with the democratisation of media the internet affords, there is now a new breed of comedian pushing the establishment boundaries of acceptability. A Youtube channel has appeared called Comedy Unleashed, which is also the name of a comedy evening at a venue called the Backyard Comedy Club in Bethnal Green, London. The venue and channel do not seem to put any restriction on comedic material, stating on their website: 'If it's funny...it's funny.' This has attracted comedians of all persuasions, but the inclusion of SJW soy-boy comedians like Sam Russell, ethnic ones like Dane Baptiste and Joe Jacobs and LGBT ones like Isa Bonachera keeps Youtube's ADL watchdogs at bay, which means the channel also gets to showcase some dissentient comedians like Alistair Williams, Andrew Lawrence and Will Franken. I do not think for one second that Comedy Unleashed, nor the comedians themselves are on our side of politics, but nonetheless, a door is being opened....
Alistair Williams is very much on the lighter end of things, with less contraversial subjects like Brexit and university education on the agenda. Andrew Lawrence was eased off the BBC a few years ago for tweeting, 'Given that about 80% of suicides in the UK last year were committed by men, if feminists truly wanted equality, they'd kill themselves.' The most disarming and yet near-the-knuckle has to be Will Franken, whose absurdist and abstract material often allows more subversive jokes to filter in, including one about Sweden resembling an Arab sacred city.... He also satirised how business meetings would go full SJW back in 2008. His set below is strikingly accurate.
None of these comedians are by any stretch of the imagination Rightist and come nowhere near the forbidden zone that Chubby Brown still treads. Racial material is largely avoided and any racial jokes tend to be innocuous. Yet some have dishonestly tried to appropriate that label while lacking the credentials. Leo Kearse is one such comedian, who is, frankly, as tame as a pigeon hand-reared by the establishment. It shows, however, that being a Rightist is becoming cool, but also that, as ever, mealy-mouthed liberals are trying to co-opt the label without needing the courage for real dissent. What is promising, however, is the comments sections below such videos and the likes to dislikes ratio that show an overwhelming preference for un-PC comedy on the Comedy Unleashed channel. Any would-be proper Rightist comic has an audience ready and waiting....
Thanks for the reference to Will Franken. I note from his YouTube channel that he's moved to Folkeston. His style seems similar to the TWTWTW only with a different establishment to satirise.
I would be wary of falling into the trap of setting up his cult of personality though. He has also displayed signs of philo-Semitism, and may, given his surname that he shares with Al Franken, be Jewish himself, although I cannot find concrete evidence that he is. He very much seems part of the libertarian/neo-con crowd like Hitchens, Peterson, Sargon etc.
